Text: John 3:5-8 “you can’t explain people born of God”

Theme: Life of a child of God will be difficult to understand for any outsider, and it would be difficult for a child of God to explain his/her situation to others – but the knowledge of God and being in the will of God give them the peace for that situation.

Joseph – think of the way he went thru, even now no one can explain why Joseph had to go thru all that he went thru to get where he got.

If we start picking from the Bible men and women who would relate to this – I tell you, finally we would’ve listed all of them mentioned in the Bible. Why, those who led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

Rom 8:13-14 “Those who led…

Love who?

“You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you…” Matthew 5:43-44

The number one reason why people are peace less is because they don’t know that they’re God’s children. As a result they are so much opinionated, self-defensive and egoistic.

Jesus’s teaching of “love your enemies” is His way to eliminate the list of people we tagged as our enemies.

Unless we realize that God forgave us in Christ Jesus all evil we did in the past, we would never have the ability to forgive others.

God forgave us when we don’t deserve. So, we should always forgive those who don’t deserve.

But if we confess our sins to him, he can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. And it is perfectly proper for God to do this for us because Christ died to wash away our sins. 1 John 1:9

Constant Contact

Enoch lived 365 years, walking in close fellowship with God. Then one day he disappeared, because God took him. (Genesis 5:23, 24 NLT)

God created mankind so intellect, emotional and decisive to have meaningful relationship and fellowship.

This expectation was ruined when Adam sinned, developed guilt, become unwilling to repent and couldn’t face God.

After many generations Enoch for what ever reason “abnormally” fell in love with God and had a constant fellowship with Him – which thrilled God so much that He can’t let him die and lose forever. God took Enoch to be with Him permanently.

John 3:16 says, God sent His Son Jesus to us – so our sin, guilt, unwillingness to repent & reconcile (Adamic nature) be removed, and we can have constant fellowship with God and live permanently with Him!

For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Occupy your street

Look! He has placed the land in front of you. Go and occupy it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged!’ (Deuteronomy 1:21 NLT)

The closer we get to the promise land the more difficult it appears to be possessed.

Everything will oppose us to make us believe that we got the wrong address and mistaken this to be our promised land. Don’t be discouraged, take heart and move forward. Don’t be afraid.

God already prepared the land for you even before these current occupants moved in. You’re not going to take their land by driving them out, but you’re going to take back your land by driving them out. You must have the sense of ownership and this authority when you fight.

Let’s pay attention to what His Spirit says again –

Look! He has placed the land in front of you. Go and occupy it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged!’ (Deuteronomy 1:21 NLT)

Your deliverance in your tongue

Is it easier to say ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up and walk’? (Luke 5:23 NLT)

Wherever Jesus went signs and wonders accompanied Him. Constantly crowds exclaimed woo-hoo, wow & hah! But whenever Jesus said Who He is the crowd wanted to kill Him!

They had no problem when He raised the dead but can’t stand when He told He is the Son of God.

Today, it’s no different. The crowd wants the benefits of Jesus Christ but don’t want to give Him the Lordship.

Unless we see and say what Father God and His Word say Who Jesus Christ is, we won’t have deliverance.

And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17

…God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

Vision is not about us

The tribes of Reuben and Gad owned vast numbers of livestock. So when they saw that the lands of Jazer and Gilead were ideally suited for their flocks and herds… “Do you intend to stay here while your brothers go across and do all the fighting?” Moses asked the men of Gad and Reuben. (Numbers 32:1,2,6 NLT)

When God gives us a vision, He expects us to reach it without any compromise.

More often than not, we settle for less afraid of losing the provisions He gave us; forgetting, if not for the vision we won’t have that provision in the first place.

We are where we are because of the vision. It is not acceptable that we reach ‘almost’ there and settle for less. The most exciting time is yet to come if we pursue all the way!

After all, vision is not about us! Why we settle for something seems suitable just because vision seems to be impossible? We know its far from who we are called to be. Let’s be bold to cross the Jordan and fight the good fight!

You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth? It certainly isn’t God, for he is the one who called you to freedom. Galatians 5:7-8

Even to the ends of the age!

From the ends of the earth, I cry to you for help when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the towering rock of safety, for you are my safe refuge, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me. (Psalm 61:2, 3 NLT)

No one understands our fears better than God, no one can bring us out of those fears like God.

None of us are insignificant in the eyes of God, none of our dreadful moments are overlooked by God.

There are no better word to describe how amazing His grace is! His grace find us in the deepest ditches, hears our minuscule voices and with precise timing rescues us!

No one like our God! No enemy can trick, deceive, distract our God from protecting us!

You call upon His name no matter from where you’re and see His faithfulness!

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble.I will rescue and honor them. Psalm 91:14-15

Mind your Father’s Business!

“But why did you need to search?” he asked. “Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?” (Luke 2:49 NLT)

Jesus didn’t asked these as a pricking questions to Joseph & Mary, but asked as innocent as dove!

So, Joseph & Mary couldn’t argue and a paradigm shift happened from that moment on. They knew soon He would move into the very purpose He came for and they wouldn’t have any say about it. Since then, they had to learn to play the role of His parents fearing God, and be careful not to hinder His cause.

For Jesus, growing up was exciting; the more He grew, the more He was closer to His Father.

Shouldn’t be the same rule for us today! The more we grow, the more closer to the Father!

The one thing I ask of the Lord—the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. Psalm 27:4

Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. James 4:8

The wild spreading joy!

Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby’s mother, “This child (Jesus) is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, but he will be a joy to many others… As a result, the deepest thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your very soul.” (Luke 2:34-35 NLT)

The words, works and the life of Jesus – a mere 3 years and few months of His ministry had changed the whole world!

Religion had collapsed, kingdom had collapsed, people were willing to die, worst outcasts lives were changed 180 degree for good, unheard thousands of miracles started to happen in His Name and His gospel had become the fire in the bones of countless.

On other side, religious became murderers, so thought pious saints were found to be cults, God’s commandments had been redefined and all were put in severe need of true hope in God that Jesus had revealed!

It’s been more than 2000 years now, the fire in bones of those who believed has only became much greater and wildly spreading, His truth has become much clear, His hope has been realized overwhelmingly and embraced more earnestly, faith is understood, fear is fought, forgiveness is received, families and nations that never thought will serve Him has declared “Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Savior and only Hope. Jesus Christ is indeed the Way, the Life and the Truth!”

In His Name, many are been set free, healed, restored, equipped, appointed and sent to release His joy to every hopeless, depressed, oppressed and possessed!

Jesus, the King of Righteous and Truth reigns!

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God… Luke 15:7

A thorough preparation!

John grew up and became strong in spirit. And he lived in the wilderness until he began his public ministry to Israel. (Luke 1:80 NLT)

John right from his childhood lived up to His motto, “He (God) must increase and I (soul) must decrease!”.

The “I” he knew was his soul, which is his self will, emotion and intellect – these he made sure decrease; meaning these will not be strong enough to overcome his decisions and purpose for his life!

For this reason, he forced himself to live in wilderness where there is not much appetite for his flesh and until his soul (self will, emotions and intellect) submits to his calling.

As soon as he dominated his self, his spirit became strong by the power of God’s Spirit and His word – sharp enough to discern and pinpoint accurately the Lamb of God Jesus Christ, the Messiah to the whole world!

A great preparation was needed for that great calling and the great life of John the Baptist, it wasn’t automatic because God said so. Are we getting ready?

You will have great joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great in the eyes of the Lord. He must never touch wine or other alcoholic drinks. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even before his birth. And he will turn many Israelites to the Lord their God. He will be a man with the spirit and power of Elijah. He will prepare the people for the coming of the Lord. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and he will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly.” Luke 1:14-17
