He quiets me down

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! (Psalms 43:5 NLT)

There is nothing powerful than our spirit that is awaken by believing in the finished work of Christ on the cross.

The soul is so uncontrollable at times; raging emotions, flooding thoughts and stormy willfulness – as a result we hate ourselves, lose all credibility and find ourselves so foolish.

Yet, all the while, the renewed spirit in us wait quietly trusting the Lord to comfort, bring the understanding and calm us down.

If there is no prayer that could comfort us, let’s say the name of Jesus repeatedly – this will make us fall in love with Him. His perfect love then will cast out all our fears and quiets our soul!

Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself, like a weaned child who no longer cries for its mother’s milk.Yes, like a weaned child is my soul within me. Psalm 131:2

His name is Wonderful!

They were completely amazed and said again and again, “Everything he does is wonderful. He even makes the deaf to hear and gives speech to those who cannot speak.” (Mark 7:37 NLT)

Every minute somewhere, someone is touched by Christ Jesus and receives their miracle!

If we take a moment to look back at our own lives (or others who has Jesus Christ as their Lord), we will testify that He is so wonderful!

When Jesus walked among people 2000 years ago, they were in peak of joy as they had the very Creator in midst of them and testified that ‘nothing is impossible for God!’

Today, if we come out of our own small circle and start working with other needy people by introducing Christ Jesus their Savior to them – the stage has been set to see for ourselves the most wonderful things He will do for them!

This is exciting, is there anything impossible for Him!

…and the people begged Jesus to lay his hands on the man to heal him. Mark 7:32

Wherever he went—in villages, cities, or the countryside—they brought the sick out to the marketplaces. They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed. Mark 6:56

Need Help?

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord. (Psalms 40:1, 3 NLT)

God created mankind and has kept under His authority. It is a simple truth, but many struggle and fail to understand.

The significant importance of having an authority is to go and get help when we are in need. Also, the responsibility of the authority is to help the helpless.

When our lives are surrendered to God, we acknowledge His authority over our lives. Then, no matter what we go thru’, we can cry unto Him – He is in charge to help us, great is His faithfulness, He is the only one truly love us, and nothing is impossible for Him!

Who don’t want to be under such great authority! Let’s understand our design and place ourselves under His wings.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” Psalm 91:1-4, 9-16

As for me and my family we will

Then Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his relatives and his own family.” (Mark 6:4 NLT)

God’s will is to save everyone by bringing them to the knowledge of the truth.

When God saves a person, it is His perfect will to save the whole family – where, He place the calling on the saved individual to reach the whole family with God’s love.

The saved individual since that time is expected to grow in passion, compassion, burden, humility, patience, mercy and wisdom to become a sincere servant in his/her own household to demonstrate the change in character, and a clean motive just to show them the love and plan of God.

If any of the above expected good/godly changes are resisted in that saved individual the plan of salvation for the family gets chocked.

Opposition, humiliation and rejection are very common towards the saved individual by the family and relatives – these are God’s way to bring good/godly change in the individual to come to the total submission to rely on God to make it happen.

The best way to handle the emotions due to such opposition, humiliation and rejection is to reach out the strangers, the unexpected and those in need of God – while keeping a constant eye for an opportunity in the family to tell it all over again!

One by one, surely everyone will be saved if we suffer, persevere and never leave the basic calling of every God’s child – to reach his/her own family.

But those who won’t care for their relatives, especially those in their own household, have denied the true faith. Such people are worse than unbelievers. 1 Timothy 5:8

Do you realize your future?

My guilt overwhelms me— it is a burden too heavy to bear… But I confess my sins; I am deeply sorry for what I have done… Come quickly to help me, O Lord my savior. (Psalms 38:4, 18, 22 NLT)

Self-realization without hope of salvation leads to all kind of superstitious and cult beliefs. This result in false humility and fake godliness, only becoming a blind leading blinds.

Repentance is the most critical element in each human being that has to exhibit when a self-realization occurs, in order to escape the foolishness of religion, cults and atheism.

The attempt of such genuine repentance opens the door of salvation – the knowledge of God, His love for us and His plan to restore our lives from all remorse.

Self-realization
Romans 3:23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

God made the way for our salvation
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8-11 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

Our right to receive the free gift
Romans 10:9-10, 13 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

The perfect faith

So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds…
Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” (Mark 4:36, 38 NLT)

Faith in God will make us do astounding things like sleeping peacefully in the middle of a storm – which will very well irritate everyone around us, especially when we are looked up to lead them.

People wants someone who has faith in God among them, they hang around, they’re joyful, they are excited to tell they live by faith – but when a storm hits they panic and demand everyone panic with them – and it becomes unacceptable if the one that has faith says, ‘Be calm and let God control it’.

As much our flesh wants to react and use the opportunity to show our burden, love and care for those panicking in the storm – it is more important to show what our faith in God can do and challenge them to put their faith in use by the way we react, and show how faith handles the storms of life.

God use storm to perfect our faith or at least to find the real faith!

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Keep me burning!

Remember, the fire must be kept burning on the altar at all times. It must never go out. (Leviticus 6:13 NLT)

Doesn’t matter what we do or don’t in a day, our everyday calling is to submit before God with the fear that He is our Lord. We should never become cold and indifferent to Who He is!

It wasn’t easy for God to find us, save us and deliver us. The fire (His Spirit, the reverence for God) in us came from Him and it is our responsibility to keep it burning – we must spend time to guard it, feed it and use it.

Reason, by letting the fire go – we can’t start a new fire when we want it, that would be a strange fire not fit to please Him.

Keeping the fire on the altar is the only declaration/confession we could do daily to show that we serve God irrespective of our situation and feelings.

Listening and yielding to Holy Spirit is the only supply to keep the fire burning.

God is faithful, one of these days He will stir it up and we will see His glory!

Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. Acts 2:2-4
