Your deliverance in your tongue

Is it easier to say ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up and walk’? (Luke 5:23 NLT)

Wherever Jesus went signs and wonders accompanied Him. Constantly crowds exclaimed woo-hoo, wow & hah! But whenever Jesus said Who He is the crowd wanted to kill Him!

They had no problem when He raised the dead but can’t stand when He told He is the Son of God.

Today, it’s no different. The crowd wants the benefits of Jesus Christ but don’t want to give Him the Lordship.

Unless we see and say what Father God and His Word say Who Jesus Christ is, we won’t have deliverance.

And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17

…God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

The sprout test

Place these staffs in the Tabernacle in front of the Ark containing the tablets of the Covenant, where I meet with you. Buds will sprout on the staff belonging to the man I choose. Then I will finally put an end to the people’s murmuring and complaining against you.” (Numbers 17:4, 5 NLT)

When God chose a leader to lead, He relives the pressure off the leader to prove his/her authority.

Beware, God do allow a season for others to see the leader is not so perfect. But then, God will move with a mighty power for everyone to realize that it is indeed He who has chosen and appointed that leader to lead them.

For this to happen, the leader has to refrain from all arguments and quarrel; willfully come to a place of humility by submitting him/herself before the Word of God (tablets of the Covenant) and waiting in His presence (Ark, Tabernacle) until God brings the supernatural life and fruitfulness in the authority He gave.

No self promoters survive this sprout test. Let’s place ours under the Word’s check and soak it with His presence until it sprouts!

On that day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel, and they revered him throughout his life, as they had revered Moses. Joshua 4:14

Need Help?

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the Lord. (Psalms 40:1, 3 NLT)

God created mankind and has kept under His authority. It is a simple truth, but many struggle and fail to understand.

The significant importance of having an authority is to go and get help when we are in need. Also, the responsibility of the authority is to help the helpless.

When our lives are surrendered to God, we acknowledge His authority over our lives. Then, no matter what we go thru’, we can cry unto Him – He is in charge to help us, great is His faithfulness, He is the only one truly love us, and nothing is impossible for Him!

Who don’t want to be under such great authority! Let’s understand our design and place ourselves under His wings.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” Psalm 91:1-4, 9-16

The stainless faith

Jesus said, “You faithless and corrupt people! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” (Matthew 17:17 NLT)

Not that we don’t have faith, we have a tendency to look at every situation as though it’s unique and very different from where we been and what was done before.

This attitude – Lord Jesus rebukes and calling us to reckon with the power of working in His authority consistently in every situation and challenges.

Faith in Christ and functioning in His authority has to be highly guarded with utmost sincerity refusing even the slightest resemblance of fear, failure and faithlessness – for these corrupt any great faith in no time and can make us look like fools.

“Get up and prepare for action.Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say.Do not be afraid of them,or I will make you look foolish in front of them. Jeremiah 1:17

Being a blessing!

The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed. (Genesis 39:23 NLT)

Success is being where God wants us to be! This may be in lowly servant hood or in a great position.

Joseph accepted God’s choice of where he had to be. This includes being thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, beaten and jailed after false accusations, and waiting for years in dark dungeons.

No matter where Joseph was, he saw the opportunity to demonstrate the goodness of His God to the people in need. It is astounding to notice that nothing could stop Joseph being a blessing!

Secret was, Joseph had resolved in his mind that he will be a blessing to his authorities and help them with God’s help.

He was a blessing to his father Jacob. He was a blessing to Potiphar. He was a blessing to the jailor. He was a blessing to Pharaoh. Finally he was a blessing to the whole world!

This is the way of being a blessing!

Allowing God be God

Accept the way God does things, for who can straighten what he has made crooked? Ecclesiastes 7:13

All our effort will be in vain if God’s hand is not on it.

We can work hard, feel satisfied in doing the ‘right thing’ that we know again and again, but at the end we will only frustrate ourselves if we don’t quite down and find out what God want us to do about it.

Jesus had to curse the fig tree that refused to serve Him when He was hungry.

God had to pick David and reject Saul when he rebelled.

God’s Spirit moves swiftly and firmly making the decision and we shouldn’t act foolish to interfere/reverse what God is doing thinking we’re graceful or compassionate.

For who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to give him advice? Romans 11:34

The Port Authority of Blessings

So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience. Romans 13:5

Paul here writing about submitting to those in authority.

Imagine a life where there are no authorities – as much as we may like to love that idea, we very well know it will end up in a reckless, purposeless and useless life.

An airplane pilot no matter how many hours of flying experience he has and how expert he is in handling that aircraft, he cannot reach the destination safe without someone controlling the airspace for him.

The important truth of our flesh that we need to know is – it doesn’t like being under an authority. Adam and Eve loved God’s authority in the beginning as long as they were unaware of the choice they had to rebel. They rebelled on the very first opportunity presented to them. That speaks in itself how our flesh is no matter how righteous and loyal we may think of ourselves.

Being under authority is not people-pleasing, being a yes man or a door-mat but it is all about keeping our conscience right all the time.

That inner voice is simply the conscience that whispers right away when we are wrong no matter how loud, how long we argue or shout it down.

Our flesh wants power, ego, pride, control… our spirit simply wants peace, humility, God-pleasing and maintain that clear conscience.

Can we support that still small voice in midst of the raging storms and those roaring waves?

If you do, you just entered the port authority of blessings!
