Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. (Proverbs 2:2, 3 NLT)
Understanding is the essence of success.
All of our efforts and others inputs would amount to nothing if we fail to gain understand of what we doing, why we doing and for whom we doing.
The one who understands leads others, excel and always get recommended.
Without understanding we can’t stay on long haul and remain motivated.
God’s word is full of wisdom! But without having the understanding God’s word stays mysterious and strange.
There is none who can give us understanding, or train how to understand. It is God our Creator is the Spirit of Understanding Who gives to those who ask Him.
Let’s cry out to the One Who alone is wise until we receive the understanding!
“So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.” Luke 8:18
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 2 Timothy 3:16
We stop growing in Christ and fooling ourselves the moment we start patting ourselves after reading God’s word.
The truth is our flesh never becomes perfect. We need God’s word every single day to come and correct our lives, remind us of who we are and where we would be without Him.
His spoken word alone is an anchor to hold us on a stormy day and His encouraging word alone will put the sail to our lives and take us out of troubles.
The willingness to learn new from a very familiar passage will take us to another deeper level to believe God.
Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord. Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths. Psalm 119:1-3
Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart, so that I may honor you. Psalm 86:11
Purity is being free from adulterated by anything that this corrupt world influence on us, and remaining the way God created us to be.
None of us were close to it, but the Pure from God – His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us from all adulteration and has the power to take our hearts to its utmost purity every time we allow His word to pierce our hearts!
Unlike we think a pure heart doesn’t look polished, rigid and vibrant but rather torn, broken and contrite by constant correction, self-denial and submission by the power of God’s Spoken Word.
Nothing honors God like these awful looking, amazing, pleasing hearts!
Now, let’s take a hard look on what type of teaching we inclined to – ear pleasing or heart pricking?
“Plow up the hard ground of your hearts! Do not waste your good seed among thorns. Jeremiah 4:3
The first thing to prosper in our lives is our soul.
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2
Soul is the one entrapped in lies, doubts, depression, jealousy, anger, lust or pride. Our will, emotions and thought process (intellect mind) which makes our soul is the breeding ground for all filthiness.
Can you imagine the freedom you can bring to yourself by freeing you from your self/soul!
Listening and putting God’s Word into practice is the real freedom. If we aren’t able to obey God’s spoken Word, we are not free.
…What are you trusting in that makes you so confident? Do you think that mere words can substitute for military skill and strength? Isaiah 36:4-5
Devil seldom creates doubts on our strengths and skills, in fact, he encourage us to trust in our own strength, wisdom and skills so would become easy for him to steal, kill and destroy our lives.
The one thing devil vigorously tries to refute and create doubts is on the God’s spoken word in our lives.
When you know you don’t had the strengths or skills and still God got you in, you continue to stay only on the strength that comes from His word – no matter how you feel or what devil says.
The Word spoken into our lives is our true strength that revives us constantly to what God called us to be!
Never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and soul and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. And there has never been a king like him since. 2 Kings 23:25
King Josiah and Judah had an unbelievable comeback obeying God’s written word and smashing absolutely everything that of the devil.
Oftentimes we see a nation, a family or an individual is lost and placed themselves against God in such a manner which would make us believe there is no possible way for a restoration.
More often than not God has kept a lost individual as a powerful time-bomb to blast the devils kingdom in His time (example: King Josiah, Apostle Paul)
God’s Truth is clearly recorded in His scripture. These words are more than enough to ignite that fire in that individual (time-bomb) to blast and cause a serious damage to the devils kingdom – which devil had built for years and years, generation after generations, perversion on top of another perversion!
It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. Isaiah 55:11
