The wild spreading joy!

Then Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby’s mother, “This child (Jesus) is destined to cause many in Israel to fall, but he will be a joy to many others… As a result, the deepest thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your very soul.” (Luke 2:34-35 NLT)

The words, works and the life of Jesus – a mere 3 years and few months of His ministry had changed the whole world!

Religion had collapsed, kingdom had collapsed, people were willing to die, worst outcasts lives were changed 180 degree for good, unheard thousands of miracles started to happen in His Name and His gospel had become the fire in the bones of countless.

On other side, religious became murderers, so thought pious saints were found to be cults, God’s commandments had been redefined and all were put in severe need of true hope in God that Jesus had revealed!

It’s been more than 2000 years now, the fire in bones of those who believed has only became much greater and wildly spreading, His truth has become much clear, His hope has been realized overwhelmingly and embraced more earnestly, faith is understood, fear is fought, forgiveness is received, families and nations that never thought will serve Him has declared “Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Savior and only Hope. Jesus Christ is indeed the Way, the Life and the Truth!”

In His Name, many are been set free, healed, restored, equipped, appointed and sent to release His joy to every hopeless, depressed, oppressed and possessed!

Jesus, the King of Righteous and Truth reigns!

Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God… Luke 15:7

Promise unaltered!

“You said your children would be carried off as plunder. Well, I will bring them safely into the land, and they will enjoy what you have despised.”(Numbers 14:31 NLT)

Israelites wanted the best for their children, but other than slavery nothing Egypt had to offer. They cried out to God because of the cruelty, and it was unthinkable that their children would go thru’ the same if not worst.

God heard the cry and delivered them from slavery miraculously, not just because of His mercy but because of His promise to Abraham!

All the complaints of those “in between” generation didn’t altered God’s promise made to Abraham. The fulfillment of the hope and the promise was for everyone who believed! Those who believed entered and possessed that promise land!

Today, God’s promise to us – the children of Abraham has not changed irrespective of our “in between” generations. If we chose to believe, we has the same hope and promise, and we will enjoy what others has despised!

Clearly, God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God’s law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith. Romans 4:13

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. Romans 5:1-2

Eliminate the risk

The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing. (Proverbs 10:28 NLT)

Godly are those who made themselves right with God and strive to stay right before Him by fully knowing their righteousness, sanctification and wisdom are only in Lord Jesus Christ.

The only way these godly/righteous can live is by setting their hope in God’s plan for their lives and the promises He made to them.

Such life brings great peace and will result in happiness because they eliminated the risk of depending on their own skills, abilities and smartness.

Often these godly look weak, incapable and vulnerable in the world’s eyes, but their success and joy would be shocking and indigestible! Secret is their hope – the source of unusual strength, wisdom and patience from God their Lord!

The bow of the mighty is now broken, and those who stumbled are now strong.
…He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, placing them in seats of honor.
…No one will succeed by strength alone.
…he increases the strength of his anointed one.” 1 Samuel 2:4, 8-10

The first red letters

But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires. ” So John agreed to baptize him. (Matthew 3:15 NLT)

Book of Matthew is the first Gospel recorded the life of Christ Jesus and the above scripture is the first recorded words of Lord Jesus Christ.

It is impressive that He stressed “we must carry out all that God requires“, in His very first recorded statement – which sets the tone of how Him ministry would be and what His life would be all about!

If we believe God have a plan for our lives and we want nothing but His will for our lives then we too must live our lives with the same diligence and audacity daring to do all that God wants just like how our Master did!

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the L ord . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT)

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. (Psalms 139:16 NLT)

No more fear

Only in this way could he (Jesus) set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. Hebrews 2:15

Our sin gave power to the death and the fear of death to us, devil had death in his grip and Jesus took it from him by dying on the cross for our sins by breaking permanently that fear man had beginning from Adam.

The only message humankind craved for thousands of years to hear was how to be freed from the fear of death!

Religions and philosophers to temporarily numb the fear said and wrote their opinion of what death could be and what is after that – but it never freed even one human being from the fear of death until the message of the coming of the Messiah was unveiled by God to His people.

Death was put to shame and devil was stripped off of his authority when Jesus poured His life unto death, the message of the Cross of Christ became the Good News when God raised Jesus from the death!

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved.

So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:1-2, 21

There is a hope

But those who die in the Lord will live; their bodies will rise again!
Those who sleep in the earth will rise up and sing for joy!
For your life-giving light will fall like dew
on your people in the place of the dead! Isaiah 26:19

Thru’ the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ everything that is of God will overcome. Even those who are dead will be raised back to life!

This is the hope in Christ Jesus. This is the hope every human needs. This is the understanding every child (infants and toddlers) has. Only the grown ups has lost the hope looking at their mess.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 1 John 5:4

For Christ to set one free: it doesn’t matter who we are, where we are from or what we did. All He install in us is the faith which brings in that hope that will not die and cleanses us from all sin.

The reason for Christ to be our Lord is not to help us in the struggles of this world, but to help us overcome what is impossible without Him!

And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. 1 Corinthians 15:19

All His love for you and all your love for Him is not just for now and then to be dead and buried – but to be raised up into the life eternal and love eternally.

Love Him and live forever!

In the light

The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine. Isaiah 9:2

Think for a moment what is it like to live in darkness – being vulnerable, suddenly attacked, ransacked, beaten down, hopelessness, uncertainty, unclean, threats, lies, fear, bondage…

Can you imagine now that you’re loosed, set free, brought into the light, given the life, a clean slate to begin with – a brand new clean, safe start with a plan to prosper and be blessed! This is new life in Christ Jesus offered to those sitting in darkness, waiting to be set free!

The light has come! The prisoner is set free – forgiven, redeemed and restored!

In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it. John 1:4-5

So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. John 8:36
