Your deliverance in your tongue

Is it easier to say ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or ‘Stand up and walk’? (Luke 5:23 NLT)

Wherever Jesus went signs and wonders accompanied Him. Constantly crowds exclaimed woo-hoo, wow & hah! But whenever Jesus said Who He is the crowd wanted to kill Him!

They had no problem when He raised the dead but can’t stand when He told He is the Son of God.

Today, it’s no different. The crowd wants the benefits of Jesus Christ but don’t want to give Him the Lordship.

Unless we see and say what Father God and His Word say Who Jesus Christ is, we won’t have deliverance.

And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17

…God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

Only He can do

When Jesus heard them, he stopped and called, “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord,” they said, “we want to see!” (Matthew 20:32, 33 NLT)

2000 years before all Israelites believed in the coming of their Messiah, but few longed for the Messiah to come!

Those who longed aren’t just God lovers but it included God need-ers. Blinds were among those, because their eyes will be opened by the Messiah –

And when he comes, he will open the eyes of the blind and unplug the ears of the deaf. Isaiah 35:5

So, when these blind men heard that Jesus is walking down the street they rushed to Him with that one request that only the Messiah can fulfill!

We have this Messiah as our personal Savior Who finished everything for us on the cruel cross. What do we ask of Him that no one but only Lord Jesus can do?

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:14, 16

Let the fruits speak

And tell him, ‘God blesses those who do not turn away because of me'(Matthew 11:6 NLT)

This was Jesus’s reply to doubters and those with a pre-conceived idea of how God should be and His plan should be.

Today many mock, reject God given plan and vision for their lives because it is nothing like what they thought or wanted.

Just the way Israelites rejected Christ Jesus and His way because of their religiousness and fleshly misconception of Messiah, many will reject God given vision and purpose for their lives. Let’s not be one of those losers.

Let the change of lives and fruits prove that it is God and is of God.

“Don’t believe me unless I carry out my Father’s work. But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don’t believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.” John 10:37-38

Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen— the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor. Matthew 11:4-5

While we still have time

See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. Isaiah 12:2

Human understanding is convinced that our sinful propensity deserves punishment and God should show no mercy on us. In other words, if we were God we would gladly punish us (sinful humans) without a second thought!

We are over joyed when we learn that God has forgiven of our sins and has pardon us from the awaiting severe judgement / punishment.

This is the joy of the salvation – a miracle that God would forgive what we did against Him.

The guilt that made us to run from God and be afraid of Him is removed and our relationship with Him that was tarnished is now restored to trust Him!

By His compassion He has sat on the Mercy Seat before He would sit on the Judgement seat!

Worship God in adoring embrace,
Celebrate in trembling awe. Kiss Messiah! Your very lives are in danger, you know; His anger is about to explode, But if you make a run for God—you won’t regret it! Psalm 2:12

Kiss the feet of Jesus while He is still seated on the Mercy seat!

Awfulness to awesomeness!

She gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them. That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby… an angel of the Lord appeared among them… “you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:7-12

Mary and Joseph were so poor they lacked provisions, influence and knack, and couldn’t find a decent lodge to deliver the Messiah. They end up in a manger and delivered the Messiah in midst of cattles, and wrapped him in strips of cloth that they had. This was the best they could do in their lowliness and poverty. Sure they felt awful looking at their inability and knowing that the baby was their Messiah!

Often times we do beat ourselves and wonder if ever Lord called us to do His great ministry. We doubt if we could carry thru’ this vision and live out this purpose while being who we are and having what we have.

Mary and Joseph were tremedous examples! Like them simply stay humble, remain powerless and just do what you can. After all God is the one who called you, He will be faithful and He will do it. You just do your part with the strength you have, the Messiah will do the rest! Because, it’s all about Him, His will and His plan.

The very awful-signs of Mary and Joseph’s poverty – “the stripes of cloth”, “the manger” became the supernatural-signs the angel gave to those shepherds to recogonize the Messiah! (recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger)

What you think as a shame and embarrassment would be turned for God’s glory when it’s submitted in humility before the King. Joyfully carry the Message that you are called to carry – all will come to see/hear the Message – the signs and wonders will follow! When the Messiah is around, who cares what you lack, you do share His glory!
