The Master Fisher

One of the teachers of religious law was standing there listening to the debate. He realized that Jesus had answered well, so he asked, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” (Mark 12:28 NLT)

Lord Jesus took every opportunity to reveal the truth to those who were around and really seeking, even though questions came from rebellious, religious and mere debaters.

When He answered, it was always final – no one could add a word, found a flaw or even a minute gap! They stood speechless irrespective of how they felt inside, either to fall & worship or be envious.

Isn’t our Lord same today! Still many debate, doubt and mock the truth – only resulting in getting more truth out, and bringing more glory and souls to His Kingdom!

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, “He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.” 1 Corinthians 3:19

The Cornerstone

Then Jesus began teaching them with stories: “A man planted a vineyard. He built a wall around it, dug a pit for pressing out the grape juice, and built a lookout tower. Then he leased the vineyard to tenant farmers and moved to another country… The next servant he sent was killed. Others he sent were either beaten or killed, until there was only one left—his son whom he loved dearly. (Mark 12:1, 5, 6 NLT)

No better parable than this one tells clearly that Jesus was the last One sent to His people. “…until there was only one left—his son whom he loved dearly.”

The Son of God came to be betrayed, persecuted and crucified – treated worse than all the prophets sent before.

He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:10-12

Everyone who claim to be a prophet or messenger from God after Lord Jesus are only cults and false prophets.

This explains why those so called ‘prophets’ were not persecuted but celebrated and had become icons of new religions and movements.

More of these false prophets are to come, let’s keep our eyes open!

Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’
They will deceive many. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. Matthew 24:4-5, 11-13

End of the law!

The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked.

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.” (Mark 10:26-27 NLT)

Until Jesus made this statement, His disciples didn’t understood that Jesus is the end of the law and there is not even a slim chance to get in apart from this Provision God made.

There is a time in everyone’s life where all our religious hopes will be shattered and then the authentic hope sets in – which will never be taken from us! This is called salvation.

Gospel of Jesus Christ is nothing but a shocking truth that we are wasting time by beating ourselves and others with man made rules and old wives’ tales instead of trusting the Way God made by the sacrifice of His own Son Jesus Christ Who died for our sins and resurrected to make us righteous.

Let’s put an end to stories and begin new life in Christ!

I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal. For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God. Romans 10:2-4

Do you realize your future?

My guilt overwhelms me— it is a burden too heavy to bear… But I confess my sins; I am deeply sorry for what I have done… Come quickly to help me, O Lord my savior. (Psalms 38:4, 18, 22 NLT)

Self-realization without hope of salvation leads to all kind of superstitious and cult beliefs. This result in false humility and fake godliness, only becoming a blind leading blinds.

Repentance is the most critical element in each human being that has to exhibit when a self-realization occurs, in order to escape the foolishness of religion, cults and atheism.

The attempt of such genuine repentance opens the door of salvation – the knowledge of God, His love for us and His plan to restore our lives from all remorse.

Self-realization
Romans 3:23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

God made the way for our salvation
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8-11 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

Our right to receive the free gift
Romans 10:9-10, 13 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Never on sale

Offer sacrifices in the right spirit, and trust the Lord . (Psalms 4:5 NLT)

Religious sacrifices are a self-deceptive idea to please God and to fool ourselves that we are now in right standing with God.

It is also a religious idea to offer God something because of a guilt from past or for a present need.

God pay no attention to our great sacrificial offerings and cries when we refuse to change our ways and surrender to His will. In other words, God is not for sale.

“What is more pleasing to the Lord : your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. (1 Samuel 15:22 NLT)

Get your share of inheritance!

And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. Ephesians 3:6

There is no privilege by birth, race, religion, caste or color to be loved and favored by God.

A person may be a pious monk or a notorious criminal, the moment he/she believes in Christ Jesus for his/her salvation they earn the same blessing of becoming God’s child!

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. John 1:12-13

God’s plan is that all be saved (forgiven and embarked for eternity) and none be lost.

For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Salvation in Christ Jesus is for all mankind as much as those who wants to believe.

Whether we believe it or not soon we will be standing before His judgement seat – there is no point in believing then, now is the time to believe!

But now I see

“Why, that’s very strange!” the man replied. “He healed my eyes, and yet you don’t know where he comes from? We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but he is ready to hear those who worship him and do his will.” John 9:30-31

This was the man who was born blind healed by Jesus on a sabbath day speaking to the religious elites.

The man honestly expected them to rejoice with him and celebrate Jesus, but quiet opposite happened and those religious “righteous” tagged him as total sinner and threw him out of the synagogue! (John 9:34)

For me this is beautiful – this is exactly God expects out of our lives when we surrender our hearts to the Lord. There is no way we can go and associate anymore to the religion and it’s stubborn rituals.

Luke 5:36 “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and uses it to patch an old garment. For then the new garment would be ruined, and the new patch wouldn’t even match the old garment.”

Always see thru’ your new eyes that are opened by Christ Jesus. The old eyes are meant to fade away –

Then Jesus told him, “I entered this world to render judgment—to give sight to the blind and to show those who think they see that they are blind.”
Some Pharisees who were standing nearby heard him and asked, “Are you saying we’re blind?”
“If you were blind, you wouldn’t be guilty,” Jesus replied. “But you remain guilty because you claim you can see. John 9:39-41
